A Beautiful Pattern In The Sky!!

It Is Always a Celebration To Watch The Sunrise!! This Morning I Was Just Lost in Thoughts...It Seemed As If the Black Clouds Holding Each Others Hand Were Trying To Stop The Sun and it's Ray. But The Sky Witnessed a Beautiful Pattern, And I was Swayed!!

At Times
My life Becomes A Court Room
I Am The Accused
I Am The Prosecutor
I Am The Defender
I Am The Victim

I Prosecute, I Defend
I Convict, I Acquit
I Punish, I Forgive…
At The End Of The Day
Justice Is Delivered!!!

Yes, I am Scared!!

Yes, I am Scared!!

Are You Scared?

Asked Me The Wild Flower

Yes, I am Scared, I Said

To face This World

That’s filled with Doubled Edged Swords

Of Approvals, Judgments,

Opinions and Rules

Yes, I am Scared…

I am Scared To Face

Standing on a Dias

To Look at the Audience, address

As I feel the smidgen n pinch

On My Face

Snooping Glances

To Gauge my appearance

Measuring My Size

Colour & Vital Status

It Makes Me feel, Awfully Ill

As if I am just a piece

Of Blood & Flesh

Yes I am Scared…

I am Scared

To Express My Words

The Language of My Heart

As I feel

I will be Pierced, With Sharp pointers

To My Words,

My Dictions

My Elocutions,

My Pronunciations

My Articulations

My Accents

My Performances

The Rhythm I follow

The Cadence I don’t

I will be delivered With A verdict

That I don’t Fit

Into the Set of Rules

‘Which I don’t Know Who Has Fixed

Yes, I am Scared

I am scared,  I can’t give a Damn

To this Ridiculing world

Why do you care?

Again, asked The Wild Flower?

Then it explained

With a Soft Tone

I am a Flower

You may not find me everywhere

Never loved by any gardener

To be planted in the Parks for the humans

But I bloom, because I love my existence

Cocooned in the Mangroves & Forests

Without any Rules and Protocols

Like a untamed and carefree soul

I blossom, even if nobody cares to notice

For I adore my own being in the entire Cosmos.

I don’t Care, Yes I don’t Care

To Hell This World

As I have The Universe Of My Share

Can’t You Be Grateful for Yourself,

Your own Identity,

Your own existence and admire it

Without any approval

Of others judgments and intellects?

It’s Good to be a Flower in The Forests

You Enjoy Your Own Existence

Without any protocol & Etiquette

Than beautifying the Garden

As per the Gardener’s aesthetic sense

Or plucked From the Plant

And Put In to a Flower Vase

The Moment you want to Fit

Into Something

Your Existence will be trimmed

At the Cost of your uniqueness

Fear will Grip Ceasing Your Creativity

You Will be Reduced to a Piece of Used Piece

Don’t Scare, Don't Care

Give a damn...

To this prejudiced world

Opinionated Minds

And apparently Lost Souls…

The Moment You Admire Your Own existence

You will be Happy & Glad

Without being concerned about The world

Hang In There!!!

When Things Are Not Fair
When Life is filled with Despair
Mind is Crammed with Nightmares
Future Seems To Be Going Nowhere
Hang In There…
For The Ultimate Truth Is
Things Change or not
Time Changes For Sure…
Sitting Idle and Believing
That Things Will Change Automatically
Is Inane and Frivolous To the Core
Time Is Undeniably A Healer
But Only After
You Suffer
The Pain and Ache
Of Your Share
Hang In There
Silence Follows Tempest and Thunder
Light Appears at the End of Tunnel…
Time Changes….

Power Of Words!!

Words Hurt, Words Kill,
Words Mend, Words Heal
Words Make You Cry,
Words Make You Sniffle
Words Bring Joy
Words Bring Smiles
Words Break Hearts
Words Shatter Dreams
Words Amend Broken-hearts
Words Give To Shape to Imaginings
Words Are Lethal Weapons
That Bring War and Chaos
Words Are Soothing To Soul
That Bring Order and Peace
Words Break Us Within
And Wound the Soul...At Times
Words Fill the Hearts with Love
Making Them Compassionate and Kind
Words Disappoint and Dampen the Spirits
Words Tear-down, Words Annihilate
Words Re-kindle Within, Hope and Trust
Words Inspire, Words Liberate
Words Have Power to Destroy the World
Words Have Strength Too To Bring Heaven on Earth

A Wealthy Life Is...Not What We "Have" But What We "Give"

A Wealthy Life Is...Not What We "Have" But What We "Give"
Giving Makes Us Wealthy!!
Often...I have observed in Life
All the Possessions We Have
Only Make us Poor...
Longing For…. To have more
And "Giving" Make Us Fulfilled
I Haven't Seen Anyone "Giving"
And Becoming Poor at the same time...

#FathersDay: Fathers Spend Sleepless Nights For their kids

#FathersDay: Fathers Spend Sleepless Nights For their kids

Probably, I have heard for the first time, a man saying "Father Should Have Leave Like - Maternity Leave- to take care of the newly born”.  And it was from husband.  I remember, sometime my son used to cry in the mid- night, making us confused and bewildered, with no clue, what he wanted exactly. I guess…every parent have those moments. Santosh used have a very erratic and abhorrent kind of shift duty those days. Sometime he used to back home after working more than 15 hours at a stretch. But in spite of that “He” used carry the baby for hours, sometime whole night staying awake - asking me to sleep peacefully. In fact, whenever he used to be at home, he used to spare a considerable time in taking care of my son…from bathing him to potty clean him….everything, he used to do. He is the BEST FATHER IN THE WORLD!

That’s why I always strongly disagree if someone says; fathers don't spend "sleepless nights" for their children.  It’s an utter misconception. They do, may be at work or at home....raat raat bhar woh bhi jagte hain, Like stars at night, they stay awake, while we sleep and we don’t see them when we are awake in the daytime.

Most of the time, I have seen fathers are often misunderstood as “heartless beings” as unlike mothers they don’t wear emotional sleeves. But their sentiments are often invisible, like stars at night. If Mother endow with an emotional anchorage for a child, a father gives survival kit to wade through the waves of harsh realities and remain unfazed by them, and the bag of strength to think for the unthinkable, dare for the impossible!!

Love Your Dad; Love Him For Being Your Father!!
Happy Father’s Day!!

#WorldEnvironmentDay:If I Were Planet Earth

United Nation's World Environment Day, is celebrated on 5th of June Every Year.  It encourages worldwide awareness and action for the protection of our environment. It began in 1972 and is widely celebrated in more than 100 countries.

However, I feel it should not only be observed for a particular day, instead it should be on every day.

We are all well aware, how we humans, in search of better living in terms infrastructure and development, have blatantly abused nature. We have cut trees, reduced forest lands and polluted water bodies and air to accommodate more humans, projects, and factories...etc. That has imbalanced the Ecology.

In an endeavour to acclaim ourselves as the most intelligent and prudent creature, we have actually somewhere proved our stupidity and imprudence…in the course of time. We have forgotten the fact that “We are from the Environment and Environment is NOT from us”.
There by, it’s high time and imperative now to be alert and aware of our silliness to destroy nature.
Here are few quotes shared by different people on on the prompt #Tree and #IfIWereMotherEarth.
If I would Have Been Planet Earth,
Revolution I would Have Stopped
Every time A Tree Is Curt!!

It really gives an Insight to the reality making us aler and aware and become sensitive towards our Ecology and Environment!!

Cutting The Trees Will Leave The Future Generation breathless

If Everyone Plant A Tree It Will Help Keep The Environment Pollution Free.

When You save a Tree from Being Cut, You Increase the Life of Mother Earth

Let us all be open-minded and loving towards our home planet.

#OdiaFood: Alubhaja And paratha

Well…let Me tell you, I am not a good cook at all but I try to explore cooking. For me even though cooking is an everyday affair, I don’t really do it with passion unless the dishes are close to me. In short, when I “have to” any way, I use my mind while if it is “I want” to cook, I put my hearts into it.

Being an Odia, I love Odia foods and “I Love” to cook them mainly for two reasons. They make me happily nostalgic and the other one is they are simple to make, less oily and spicy yet wildly tasty.
Here is one…a very simple Odia dish.

Alubhaja and Paratha!

Potatoes cut into thin but straight pieces simply cooked with cumin seeds, oil, chopped onions, turmeric, salt and a pinch of red chilli powder. Served along with Parathas or Rotis…

A typical and classical odia breakfast!! its taste and appeal.
I’s always irresistible for any Odia!
Always in love with it...
😍 😍 😍 😍
Try it guys. Make sure you are asking for it, if you are visiting a Odia friend's house. It takes just few minutes to be prepared as the ingredients are always available at homes.

Dreams:Toothy Smile

I was walking on the lane when the laughter of these two kids caught my attention amidst the cacophonies of vehicle passing every moment on the road. They were playing with the bike parked…riding on it. Their parents (mothers) were selling vegetables on the pavement. I couldn’t stop myself catching those moments. While taking the picture I casually asked, “You love bikes na...Right!!”
The smaller one nodded happily while the bigger one said that he loves bikes veryyyy muchhh. When he will grow up ...he will be like Kohli(Virat Kohli) and buy a Bike...

bhi sapne to sapne hain...
I prayed God...please bless these kids and their dreams.

Meanwhile their parents were panicked with the slightest sight of NMMC or if any NMMC officials as a drive going on removing roadside hawkers But seems these kids r not afraid of the Bike having NMMC sign on its Headlight Area.
Ignorance is Bliss…true!!

Live It Today!!

Since morning
I was lost in random thoughts
Bit nostalgic…at times
And bit thoughtful for future and its course
Thinking, what if I had
A “button to pause”
For some moments of past that I really treasure
And a “time machine” to travel to future
To see what is there for store
And then my phone rang
Bringing me from my trance
I realised…I lost precious moments
Of Today…The Present moment
Thinking of future and past!
And I missed the Sun rise....

Live It Today, Live The Day...Leaving The Future and The Past!!

Silence Of Sky: Akashara Nirabata!!

Niraba Nirab Thae Sate Kete Katha kahe Ayee Akasha!!
A pre-dawn sky, often leave me amazed!!
As if it’s the screen having stories to played!!
The Sky appears vast and blue
With a profound silence too
It’s the pool of million droplets
Of the moments Of innumerable tales
That it has watched and stored
Perpetually since time immemorial
Sometime as a unspeaking spectator
Sometime itself as the “Hero” of the tale...

Expectation is a strong belief system within us that makes us assume that something will come to us or something will happen...
It’s true that we can never find a world which is "absolutely expectation free". We expect from our life, the people around us and our surrounding.....most of the time inadvertently though. I feel...with every layer of expectations, we lose something within us. I mean every expectation comes with a cost of making a small dent in us...a kind of void, a kind of hole. That’s why “The more we expect, the more we become poor and miserable”. However, it’s not easy to stop expecting but we can consciously reduce them especially
the layers which are not necessary for our struggle for survival!! At least, we can shed the Unnecessary Expectations!!

Shedding few layers of expectations, sure a better way of feeling happier and wealthier!!

Happy Moments Need Our Attention and Care!!

Happy Moments Need Our Attention and Care!!

This Morning...while having my morning tea with a fresh mind, I decided to remember one good thing which I did, saw, happened to me or anything as such that had made me most the last week. Initially, to be honest nothing came to my mind immediately. after trying bit hard then The first thing that I remembered was "The bed time talk" with my son who told me the story of Perky Jackson and few jokes along with it and The time I spent with my friends last Tuesday...typically “fun and Foodwala” were the happiest moment!!

I wonder...Had it been about bad times...would it bit quicker and easier to remember?

Maybe, I guess...a Big YES!!

Because, “bad times” have a stronger invading power and raid the mind the moment they happen than “good times” which are slower and weaker to draw attention even if they happen to be of same intensity.
That's how we live our days...without noticing Happy moments more often!!
Ugly moments never look for our Attentions but Happy Moments Do!!
For Ugly moments... Like adults are capable enough not only to draw our attention, in fact quite compelling to let us notice them but also their taxing impact stay for long even after the moments are over

But Happy children need our conscious attention, care and absolute nurturing to be noticeable as well as let them have longer positive impact in our lives amidst the twists and turns of it....

#MoreIndianThanYouThink: Eileen Destiny!!!

The vivacious EILEEN DESTINY
I don’t have an overseas traveling experience so far. So, for my part I never have experienced any personal encounters with people residing/inhabitant in/of other countries, the earth beyond the geographical boundaries of my country, India.

Recently, however something happened and I met someone, quite a stranger who made me feel that sometime they are #MoreIndianThanYouThink

Since last few months I have stirred up one of my long suppressed passions…i.e. Photography. I do a hail lot of nature photography these days that mostly includes sun rises, sun sets and flowers. Every morning, I update my FB TimeLine with some photos along with few lines as Good Morning Message. Need not to say, I get enough likes and I have developed few regular readers too.

One fine day, I got a message on FB messenger from a girl asking me about a restaurant at my place. It was from Eileen Destiny who I didn’t know or I can say I hadn’t noticed her reactions and comments to my FB posts till then. She had been a constant admirer of my Flower photography and is a regular reader of my updates.

I was excited as I checked her profile and came to know that she was from Singapore. I gave her all the details about the restaurant she had asked about and then asked her, as a courtesy though, that if she would visit my place anytime, I would like to meet her.

Guess what??

After two day, I got a message again from her…

I’m coming to your place tomorrow for a Business meeting. How about meeting U. Can you make it…let me know!!

I was excited and bit confused at the same time. I was scared to meet a complete stranger that to a foreigner. I was apprehensive too thinking what impression she might have about India and Indians. Nevertheless, I asked one of my friends to accompany me and finally we went to meet her at a restaurant.

In India I found my Destiny…That’s why I have suffixed Destiny to my name, said the vivacious Eileen as we gradually went on talking after exchanging the initial pleasantries

I was amazed when she told us how in India finally she found her purpose of life. A spoilt tom boy since her childhood, she had left Singapore, her Country, to Australia at her early twenties. She had always been an entrepreneur in her heart and followed the same dream after her education. On her early thirties she became a successful entrepreneur but at the cost of her own health and mind. The stress she had gathered while facing/overcoming challenges, the betrayals from her surroundings, the inevitable helpless times, and the acute business loses at times had taken a toll on her body ruining it to the core.

Incidentally six year back, she had visited India for a business deal. And after that…her life took a positive turn with healing, positivity and happiness. She has visited many countries, for travelling overseas is the nature of her business, but its India that made her feel the Second home.

I had never expected that she might know India so much in detail. In fact more than an Indian. Not only places…that included some interior parts and villages, but she knew many cultures, tastes and festivals of India.  The Indian way of life, food and clothing those are as diversified as trees in a dense forest, and this girl was knowing them as if she had been born and brought up here…isn’t it amazing!! Even I can’t claim so much of knowledge about India Yaar. And, you know what, she even knows the language…yeah…I mean she can even understand (though a little) Marathi too.

I mean…I am really feeling inarticulate to express my amazement that I felt in those few hours knowing that someone could be #MoreIndianThanYouThink It was just incredible!!!
But then...that makes me feel How Great My India as A Country is...a nation truly pluralistic having plethora of diversified cultures yet...a beautiful landscape on the earth.
Like Lufthansa Airlines....

A perfect journey starts with a heartfelt “Namaste”.
